Evansville set for Sunday showdown with UNI

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - After getting off to a strong start in its loss to No. 24 Drake on Friday evening, the University of Evansville women's basketball team closes its road trip with a contest with UNI at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

  •  The Aces opened their final road trip of the season with a 66-39 loss at No. 24 Drake on Friday evening.
  •  In the first half, Evansville kept pace with the Bulldogs, trailing by two at 28-26 at the break.
  • For the second-straight game, senior Brooke Bishop led the way for Evansville, scoring a team-best 10 points.
  • Tallying four rebounds, senior Kerri Gasper became the first player in Evansville women's basketball program history to record 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and more than 125 made three-pointers in their Aces' career.
  • The Aces shot 37.0% in the first half, but were held to just 4-20 (20.0%) shooting from the field in the second half.
  • After holding the Bulldogs to 42.1% shooting on Friday evening, the Aces are the only team to hold Drake under 45% shooting in both of their matchups this season after limiting the Bulldogs to 38.4% shooting in the two sides' earlier matchup this season.
