EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Looking ahead to the 2019-20 season, the University of Evansville women's basketball head coach Matt Ruffing has announced the signing of three student-athletes on Monday.

All three come to the Aces following successful careers in the junior college ranks and will be eligible for the 2019-20 season. The three spring signees join a pair of mid-year transfers and three incoming freshman, along with junior Jada Poland, who sat out the 2018-19 season after transferring from North Texas.

Felicia Bostrom is a 5-9 guard, hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, joins the Aces after one season at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Bostrom finished the 2018-19 season second in the nation among NJCAA student-athletes in three-point percentage, shooting 50% (60-120) from beyond the arc during her first collegiate season, while averaging 11.4 points per game. Bostrom earned second-team all-conference honors, helping power the Seahawks to a 22-8 overall record and a 10-2 mark in conference. For her country, Bostrom was a member of the Swedish U18 National Team in the 2017 FIBA European Championships, playing seven games and seeing 75 minutes of action.

Alva Soderberg, a 6-3 center, joins her collegiate teammate and fellow countrywoman Felicia Bostrom as a member of the Aces. A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Soderberg played a pair of seasons for Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., earning second-team all-conference and NJCAA Academic all-America honors. Soderberg concluded the 2018-19 season inside the top 30 in blocks per game and in the top 100 in defensive rebounds.

Alexis Thomas is a 5-9 guard from Evansville, who joins the Aces after an all-America season in 2018-19. Like Bostrom, Thomas is a prolific three-point shooter, ending last season in the top five in three-point percentage (46.7%) in the NJCAA, hitting 100 triples while averaging 11.4 points per game. Thomas led the Warriors to a 32-1 overall ranking and a No. 1 overall ranking and the top overall seed for the NJCAA Tournament. Along with All-America honors, Thomas was also named GRAC all-conference and to the all-region 24 team.
