EVANSVILLE, Ind., -- The University of Evansville women's soccer team closes out non-conference play with a 1-0 loss to IUPUI, Sunday afternoon at McCutchan Stadium.
 
IUPUI came out fast with a 4-1 shot advantage in the first 20 minutes, before the Aces racked up four shots of their own heading into the break. Emily Ormson and Emily Wolak recorded back to back shots for the Aces at the 25 and 27 minute mark respectively.
 
The second half was more of the same, with each team trading shots until the 76^th minute. IUPUI's Elizabeth Bueckers took advantage of a lot of moving parts in the UE back line to score the deciding goal.
 
UE outshot its second straight opponent, recording 12 attempts to IUPUI's 10, six of the Aces shots where at goal.
 
The Purple Aces will start Missouri Valley Conference play on the road at Indiana State next Saturday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.
