Aces alum Paul Nevin named West Ham first-team coach

EVANSVILLE -
Continuing his coaching experience at its highest level, University of Evansville men's soccer alum Paul Nevin has been named first team coach for West Ham of the Premier League.

Nevin's coaching career has been filled with prominent positions at some of the best clubs in the world and his appointment at West Ham continues Nevin's upward career track. The 1990 Evansville men's soccer alum most recently spent a stint with the England national team's coaching staff and as first-team coach at Brighton & Hove Albion.

While at UE, Nevin was a member of the Purple Aces' 1990 NCAA Final Four team, scoring 11 goals and recording 22 assists during his career and earning first-team all-region honors in 1988. Following his collegiate career, Nevin spent time playing professionally for Carlisle United and Yeovil Town.

Nevin got his start in coaching with English club team Fulham in 1997. During his coaching career, Nevin has spent time as head coach of the New Zealand Knights (Hyundai A-League), Aspire Academy in Qatar, Norwich City (English Championship), and serving as Premier League head of coaching.
