COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Evansville women's swimming and diving team started the 2020 Missouri Valley Conference Championship off strong.

Scoring points for the Aces in the first of two-events Wednesday evening, UE finished seventh in the 200-yard medley relay, posting a 1:46.59 time, teamed by Kasey O'Rourke, Sage Moore, Maya Cunningham and Emma Hennessy.

The Aces also took seventh in the 800-yard freestyle relay, comprised of Sonsoles Aguayo, Sarah Jahns, Jessie Steele and Andrea Ramis, finishing the event in 7:39.88.

After day one the Purple Aces sit in seventh place, just four point behind sixth place Little Rock.

Tomorrow's action begins with the 500-yard prelims at 11 a.m., with finals beginning at 6 p.m.
