ST. LOUIS - After a stellar freshman campaign, University of Evansville women's basketball guard/forward Abby Feit received multiple postseason awards from the Missouri Valley Conference, it was announced in a release by the conference office Wednesday morning.
In her first season in the white and purple, freshman Abby Feit has already taken the lead. Feit led the team in the regular season in scoring, rebounding, blocks, minutes played, and three-point field goals made. Feit set an Aces' record in her debut, scoring 26 points and pulling-down 18 rebounds, the most points by an Evansville freshman in their debut.
The all-freshman team nod is the first for an Ace since Sara Dickey and Dakota Weatherford in 2014 and the first Ace to be named honorable mention all-MVC since Kerri Gasper in 2017-18.
Feit and the Aces open the postseason on Thursday at 7 PM against Southern Illinois in the opening round of Hoops in the Heartland in Moline, Ill.
