Last Time Out: Drake 2, Evansville 1
- After falling behind early, the University of Evansville men's soccer team battled back, but fell on the road to Drake, 2-1, in Missouri Valley Conference action at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
- "Every game in The Valley is a battle, especially those on the road," said Aces head men's soccer coach Marshall Ray. "We did ourselves no favors today by turning-off on the set piece and conceding an early goal. I do have to give the guys credit for continually fighting and battling and getting ourselves back in the game, but we've got to do a better job and be more intelligent and more switched-on for 90 minutes."
- The Bulldogs got on the board early, scoring a goal inside the game's first 10 minutes. Coming off a corner, the ball was flicked-on and tapped home by Drake's TC Anderson in the sixth minute.
- Evansville generated a great chance in the 13th minute as redshirt junior Nicolas Likulia found himself on the end of a ball over the top. Likulia sprinted forward and was one-on-one with the keeper, but the Bulldogs' Jared Brown sprawled out to make the save and keep the match level.
- The Aces put another shot on frame in the 20th minute as freshman Pablo Guillen fired a shot into the bottom right corner that Brown saved.
- Drake doubled its advantage in the second half, scoring a goal in the 64th minute off the foot of LeRoy Enzugusi.
- Evansville was not deterred following the Bulldogs goal, battling to pull one back.
- The Aces did just that in the 82nd minute as Guillen scored his third of the season and his second penalty kick to halve the Drake lead.
- Evansville pushed to equalize in the final eight minutes, but could not find the second goal in a 2-1 Drake win.
- Redshirt junior Matt Bryant led the way for Evansville in goal, making a career-high eight saves.
- Guillen finished with a team-high four shots in the game, increasing his season total to 18.

- Evansville and Missouri State are meeting for the 38th time in the all-time series with the Bears owning a 22-10-5 advantage in the series.
- The Aces and Bears last met just two weeks ago in Springfield, Mo. with Missouri State scoring a late goal on a penalty in the 86th minute to secure a 2-1 win.
- The last time Evansville met Missouri State in Evansville the Bears ran away with a 4-0 win on Oct. 5, 2019.
- Missouri State enters Tuesday's matchup unbeaten in seven-straight contests against the Aces.
- The Bears come into this week's match on a streak of 25 regular season matches without a loss, last losing a regular season match on Nov. 3, 2018 in a 1-0 setback to Central Arkansas.
- In recent matches, Evansville has shown better form. The Aces have scored in three-straight matches, all coming against Conference opponents, their longest such streak since scoring in five consecutive matches from Sept. 6 to Sept. 22, 2019.
- After losing leading scorer Matthew Bentley, who recorded 13 goals for Missouri State in 2019, to the MLS SuperDraft following the 2019 campaign, the Bears have replaced his scoring with multiple sources. Nicolo Mulatero and Jesus Barea have picked-up where Bentley left off, combing for seven goals in seven games with Mulatero leading the team with four tallies on the season. Mulatero has also helped generate furth offense for the Bears, distributing a team-high five assists. The team's second leading scorer in 2019, Josh Dolling, has yet to score this season, but has put nine shots on frame.
