2021 Schedule | 2021 Tickets
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Following a unique spring season to kick-off the 2021 calendar year, University of Evansville head women's soccer coach Chris Pfau and his team are set for a more conventional fall season as his program released its upcoming schedule today.
Evansville now offers digital, mobile ticketing that allows fans to buy tickets ahead of time. Single game tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for youth and seniors and can be purchased here. Fans can also purchase season passes for women's soccer for $40, available here.
The Purple Aces return each of their starters from the 2020-21 season, including all-MVC second team goalkeeper Michaela Till, all-freshman team honoree Rachel Rosborough and honorable mention team Emilie Hill and Abby Phelps.
"UE has done a great job over the past year to make things safe and allow our team to have a full conference season in the spring," Pfau said. "It will be great to be back to doing things normal and having a normal season going into this fall. It has been a long year for everyone and to start to get back to what we love to do is very exciting."
Evansville's fall schedule features 18 matches with two exhibition, eight non-conference, and eight MVC contests. The Aces will kick-off the fall on August 10 at Arad McCutchan Stadium in exhibition action against Murray State at 5 PM (CT). The home opener will consist of three thirty-minute periods with unlimited subs.
UE will then hit the road to finish up pre-season play against Saint Louis on August 14. Five days later the Aces open the regular season at Bellarmine (August 19). The Aces will then return home to take on Belmont on August 22 at 1 PM (CT). That match will be a doubleheader with the men's team which kicks-off at 5 PM (CT) in exhibition action with Hanover.
Then UE goes on the road again to Morehead State (August 27) and Middle Tennessee State (August 29).
On the 2nd of September, Evansville will take on SEMO at 6 PM at home before going on the road again to Northern Kentucky (September 5) and Austin Peay (September 10). Then the Aces will wrap up non-conference action against SIUE on September 12 back on their home field.
"We will have a great schedule that will challenge us in many ways," Pfau said. "This will allow the coaching staff to continue to push our team and get ready for our MVC. We have everyone coming back from the spring season and added some very talented players. As long as we play for each other and work for each other we can do really good things this fall."
Conference play opens on September 17, on the road to Cedar Falls, Iowa with a match up against UNI, before a two-game home stand against Drake (September 25) and reigning MVC champion Loyola (September 29).
Back-to-back road games follow at Indiana State (October 3) and at Illinois State (October 9). The final three regular season matches for the Aces includes Southern Illinois (October 13), Valparaiso (October 23) and Missouri State (October 28) for senior night.
The 2021 MVC Women's Soccer Championship will be conducted at sites of the higher seeds, and six of nine teams will qualify for the field. The top two seeds will receive byes, and the regular-season champion will host the semifinals and final Friday-Sunday, Nov. 5-7. Seeds 3-6 will compete in quarterfinal matches Sunday, Oct. 31.
