Previewing the Matchup: Loyola Chicago
  • Evansville and Loyola are meeting for the 42nd time in series history with the Ramblers owning a 29-12 advantage in the all-time series.
  • A season ago, the Ramblers swept the season series, capturing a pair of wins inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
  • Friday's matchup has early conference positioning on the line with Loyola sitting 2-4 in the league in seventh, just one spot in front of the Aces who are eighth at 1-3 in the MVC.
  • The Aces will be playing their second road game of the week at Loyola on Friday night and their fifth road contest in their last seven games.
  • Friday's contest pits two teams with strengths on different sides of the ball. The Aces enter the weekend with the 68th-most prolific offense in the nation, averaging 71.7 points per game,. On the other side, Loyola boasts the 34th-stingiest defense in the nation, allowing just 55.9 points per game.

Previewing the Matchup: Valparaiso
  • Evansville and Valparaiso are meeting for just the 22nd time in series history with the Beacons owning a narrow 12-9 advantage in the all-time series.
  • Last season, Evansville and Valpo split the regular season series with the Aces capturing a 57-43 on the road at the Beacons before falling the next night, 71-56. The Aces and Beacons also met in the first round of the MVC Tournament with Valpo capturing a 65-52 triumph.
  • The Beacons have been one of the surprises of early conference play, winning three of their last four to open MVC action with a 3-3 mark, including a weekend sweep of UNI and Drake.

Clark Gets to the Line

  • A desire to get to the basket and help the team in any way has helped propel senior guard Myia Clark to the top of national rankings in a pair of stat categories.
  • Of 4,739 players to appear in an NCAA Division I game this season, Clark sits inside the top 300 in total free-throws made and total free-throws attempted.

Feit on Track

  • Junior Abby Feit sits just seven points away from becoming the 21st player in Evansville's 1,000 point club and would be believed to be the fourth fastest to the mark behind Sara Dickey, Shelly Brand-Adlard and Shyla McKibbon-Puelston.
