Previewing the Matchup: Illinois State

• Evansville and Illinois State are meeting for the 59th time in series history with the Redbirds owning a 39-19 advantage in the all-time series.
• Meeting last just three weeks ago, the Redbirds earned an 87-68 win inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse, pulling away after the Aces held a 39-34 halftime lead.
• The Aces last win in Normal came on Jan. 16, 2015 in a 62-50 UE victory, capping-off what was a three-game winning streak inside Redbird Arena.
• Illinois State enters the weekend with an 11-9 overall mark and a 7-2 record in MVC play, putting the Redbirds in second in the conference standings. The Aces sit in ninth with a 1-7 tally in conference action.
• Friday night's contest begins a six-day, three-game road trip featuring games at Illinois State, Bradley, and Northern Iowa.

Forcing Mistakes

• Evansville has excelled this season at making it difficult for its opponents to keep possession.
• The Aces are 72nd in the nation in turnovers forced, creating 18.7 turnovers per game.

At the Free Throw Line

• After exceeding 70% from the charity strip just three times in non-conference play, the Aces have found greater success at the line in conference play.
• Over the last six games, Evansville has finished with a free-throw percentage of 70% or higher four times, including an 18-20 (90%) effort at the line on Saturday against SIU.
