AVON, Ind. -- Senior Maggie Wood took nine strokes off her first round score by shooting 80 Tuesday to finish in 18th place in the field of 55 in the Butler Spring Invitational at Prestwick Country Club. Brother Griffin Wood finished fifth out of 79 in the men's tournament.
Coach Jim Hamilton's women tied for eighth with a team score of 700. Host Butler won the women's tournament with a team score of 648.
