EVANSVILLE, Ind. – On Monday and Tuesday, the Purple Aces women's golf team will take part in the Dayton Fall Invitational at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
Participating in the event will be: Chicago State, Dayton, Detroit, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, IPFW, IUPUI, Loyola Chicago, Marshall, Northern Kentucky, Robert Morris, Southern Illinois Edwardsville, Saint Francis (Pa.), Illinois Chicago, Valparaiso, Wisconsin Green Bay and Youngstown State.
Par for the course will be 70 while the 18 holes will comprise 5,872 yards of play. Play will take place on the North Course. Among the events hosted by the course was the 1998 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.
Last time out, the ladies played at the Butler Fall Invitational, taking fourth place overall.
Kayla Katterhenry posted the low round of the event for the Aces as her 75 put her in a tie for sixth place overall. She finished the tournament with a 154. Four shots behind her was sophomore
Paige Crafton, who carded a 76 on the final day on her way to a 158 to tie for 11th place.
Tying for 21st was
Cathy Doyle. She followed up her opening-round tally of 83 with a 78 on Tuesday to complete the event with a 161. Freshman
Maggie Camp took 31st with a 167 while Dana Hayden came in a tie for 36th with a 170. On the individual side,
Kelly Lamarche tied for 47th with a 177.
