Day One Results
BOONVILLE, Ind. – Halfway through the Charles Braun Intercollegiate, the Purple Aces women's golf team stands in a tie for second place, just three strokes off of the lead at Quail Crossing Golf Club.
Cathy Doyle stands in a tie for third place overall after tallying a 1-over 72 in the opening round. Just a stroke behind her was freshman
Maggie Camp, who carded the top round of her young collegiate career, posting a 73 to stand in a tie for 7
th place.
Paige Crafton is tied for 25
th after posting a 76 and was followed by
Kayla Katterhenry and
Dana Hayden. Katterhenry finished the day with a 77 while Hayden was right behind her with a 78. They are tied for 35
th and 39
th, respectively.
Evansville had three players see time as individuals, led by
Kelly Lamarche's round of 87.
Sydney Skiles carded a 91 while
Rachel Marchi finished at a 101.
Lipscomb had a solid day as they stand in the lead with a 295. Miriam Parker posted the low round of the day, a 1-under 70 and is just ahead of Marissa Uradomo of Indiana State, who posted a 71. They also have the top team score and are three strokes ahead of Wichita State and UE, who tallied a 295.
The final round of play is set to begin with a 10 a.m. shotgun start at Quail Crossing.
