EVANSVILLE, Ind. - It was a successful week for several University of Evansville baseball players this week in their summer leagues, as
Jake Mahon and
Kyle Pollock captured the North Division first half title with the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League,
Jonathan Ramon was named to the inaugural Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game,
Cole Heili continued to lead the Sheboygan A's offensively, as the team has caught fire and rattled off 11-straight victories and
Kyle Freeland picked up his first win of the season in the Cape Cod League by striking out seven over 7.0 strong innings.
In the professional ranks,
Kyle Lloyd earned his second win of the year on July 6 by allowing just one run in 2.2 innings out of the bullpen for the Eugene Emeralds (Class A Short-Season) and
Eric Stamets has racked up seven hits, including a pair of doubles, and three RBI over his last five games for the Inland Empire 66ers (Class A Advanced).Â
