EVANSVILLE, Ind. - It was a successful week for several University of Evansville baseball players this week in their summer leagues, as Jake Mahon and Kyle Pollock captured the North Division first half title with the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League, Jonathan Ramon was named to the inaugural Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game, Cole Heili continued to lead the Sheboygan A's offensively, as the team has caught fire and rattled off 11-straight victories and Kyle Freeland picked up his first win of the season in the Cape Cod League by striking out seven over 7.0 strong innings.

In the professional ranks, Kyle Lloyd earned his second win of the year on July 6 by allowing just one run in 2.2 innings out of the bullpen for the Eugene Emeralds (Class A Short-Season) and Eric Stamets has racked up seven hits, including a pair of doubles, and three RBI over his last five games for the Inland Empire 66ers (Class A Advanced). 

PATRICK BELLINGER
DuPage County Hounds – Midwest Collegiate League
Season:  1-1, 1.68 ERA, 10.2 IP, 11 K
Notable:  Was charged with the loss after giving up two runs, one earned, on four hits with a pair of strikeouts over 1.1 innings July 7 at Lexington.
 
KYLE FREELAND
Hyannis Harbor Hawks – Cape Cod League
Season:  1-1, 1.44 ERA, 18.2 IP, 21 K
Notable:  Earned his first win of the summer by tossing 7.0 innings of two-run ball, allowing six hits and striking out seven without a walk at Bourne on July 5.  Tied for seventh in the Cape Cod League with his 21 strikeouts.
 
COLE HEILI
Sheboygan A's – Wisconsin State League/Northeast Wisconsin League/Langsdorf League
Season:  .339 Avg., 13 2B, 5 3B, 1 HR, 26 R, 23 RBI, 9-9 SB
Notable:  Went 4-for-4 with two doubles and six RBI to lead Sheboygan to a win over Burlington on July 5.  The A's have now won 11-straight games.
 
FORREST HERRMANN
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters – Northwoods League
Season:  0-1, 9.00 ERA, 9.0 IP, 1 K
Notable:  Has not seen action since June 24, when he threw a scoreless inning at Madison.
 
COLE ISOM
Hoptown Hoppers – Ohio Valley League
Season:  3-2, 3.62 ERA, 37.1 IP, 34 K
Notable:  Struggled in his last outing, giving up seven runs, six earned, on 10 hits with five strikeouts over 5.0 innings in a loss to Fulton on July 10.   
 
BRENT JURCEKA
DuPage County Hounds – Midwest Collegiate League
Season:  1-0, 1.74 ERA, 10.1 IP, 8 K
Notable:  Allowed just one run over 3.0 innings with a pair of strikeouts in DuPage County's win at Lexington on July 7.

Season:  .345 Avg., 9 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 21 R, 17 RBI, 1-1 SB
Notable:  Went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored in a win at Alexandria on July 8.  Mahon's .345 batting average leads the team, as Waterloo leads the Northwoods League with 31 wins, has won 10-straight games and won the North Division first half title.
 
ERIC MCKIBBAN
Dubois County Bombers – Ohio Valley League
Season:  .283 Avg., 1 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 28 R, 9 RBI, 9 SB
Notable:  Scored three runs and went 3-for-5 to lead Dubois County in a win at Fulton on July 9.
 
TYLER MILLER
Richmond RiverRats – Prospect League
Season:  0-2, 4.90 ERA, 14.2 IP, 8 K
Notable:  Has not seen action since he tossed five scoreless frames, recording a strikeout and scattering seven hits in a win over Butler on June 26.
 
KYLE POLLOCK

Season:  .269 Avg., 4 2B, 1 3B, 2 HR, 13 R, 17 RBI, 1-1 SB
Notable:  Finished 3-for-5 and belted his second home run of the year to drive in two runs in a win at Alexandria on July 9.  Waterloo won the North Division first half title, leads the Northwoods League with 31 wins and has won 10-straight games.

Season:  .295 Avg., 8 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 13 R, 14 RBI, 1-1 SB
Notable:  Finished 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in a win at Sag Harbor on July 7.  He is currently on a six-game hitting streak and was named to the inaugural Hamptons Collegiate Baseball All-Star Game.
