Final Results

PEORIA, Ill. – For the second week in a row, freshman Kayla Katterhenry was victorious.  Her 2-round total of 146 gave her the top score as the University of Evansville women's golf team competed at the Bradley Invitational at Pekin Country Club.
 
Katterhenry carded scores of 73 on Saturday and Sunday en route to a 146.  She finished two strokes ahead of runner-up McCall Christopher of Indiana State.  The pair was tied following Saturday's action.
 
For the Newburgh native, it marked her second victory in a row.  She is just the second female in program history to win more than one event.  Katterhenry joins UE Hall of Famer Andrea Werner, who posted two victories in her career.
 
Her efforts helped the Aces finish in seventh place overall.  Behind her was junior Cathy Doyle.  She finished in a tie for 17^th with a 157.  Seven strokes behind her was sophomore Paige Crafton.  She finished the final round with an 86 for a total of 164.
 
With a 2-round score of 168, freshman Maggie Camp tied for 47^th place while Dana Hayden was just behind her with a 182.  Individuals Kelly Lamarche (181) and Rachel Marchi (184) finished out the UE contingent.
 
Southern Illinois tied for the low round of the day as they took top team honors.  The Salukis finished their two rounds with a 617, overcoming a 3-stroke deficit heading into the final round.  Butler, who held the lead going into Sunday's action, took second place with a 619.  Northern Illinois tied SIU's low round of the day with a 308 and took third place.
 
Evansville finished in a tie for 7^th place with Loyola.  Each school posted a 635.
 
It is hard to believe that just one regular season event remains for the Aces.  Next Sunday and Monday, UE will play at the Indiana State Invitational at the Terre Haute Country Club.
