EVANSVILLE, Ind. –
The University of Evansville (29-22) Friday night baseball game against the Austin Peay Governors (25-26) has been suspended in the bottom of the second inning due to rain. The contest will be completed to seven innings with Evansville as the home team. That next game will have Austin Peay as the home team and will also be slated for seven innings. The doubleheader will begin at 1:00 p.m. CDT.

Evansville began the night by holding pregame Senior Day festivities for pitcher Ryan Billo, pitcher Conor Gilligan, outfielder Kevin Kaczmarski, outfielder Jarod Perry and pitcher Matt Rodgers#.

Rodgers then started the game for UE, working around a leadoff walk to keep Austin Peay scoreless.

Governors starter Alex Robles also weaved around a leadoff single and fielding error to strand two men aboard in the bottom half.

Austin Peay then tallied two runs in the second to take the lead.

Down by two, Evansville outfielder Max Foley worked a walk to begin the bottom half but a lightning delay then stopped play at 6:25 p.m. After heavy rain, the game was officially suspended at 7:00 p.m.
