Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Three Aces finished in double-figures as the University of Evansville women's basketball team fell to Drake, 78-47, on Sunday afternoon inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.

Pacing Evansville, freshman Makayla Wallace scored 12 points and recorded a career-high eight rebounds, going 4-7 from the field and 4-6 from the free-throw line. Seniors Brooke Bishop and Kerri Gasper tallied 10 points each with Gasper adding five boards. Drake was led by a pair 20-or-more point performances as Becca Hittner led all-scorers with 21 points and Sara Rhine contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

In the early going, Evansville kept pace with the Bulldogs as the Aces owned a 5-4 advantage with 6:27 left in the first quarter. Drake battled back, finishing the quarter with an 18-4 run, giving the Bulldogs a 22-7 lead after 10 minutes of actions. The second period saw Drake build its advantage as large as 25 before the Aces cut it back down to 22 at 43-21 heading into the half.

Opening the second half, the Aces ran out on a 10-2 spree, forcing a Bulldogs timeout and trimming Drake's lead to 14 at 45-31 with 7:44 remaining in the third quarter. Evansville continued to hold strong coming out of the timeout, out-scoring the Bulldogs, 16-14 in the quarter. The final 10 minutes of action featured Drake regaining control and pushing its lead higher as the Bulldogs earned the 78-47 win.

Evansville closes out its three-game homestand on Friday, February 1 when the Aces host Indiana State for a 6:00 p.m. matchup on Alumni Day inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
