EVANSVILLE - After an eight-day break from competition, the University of Evansville women's basketball team welcomes Murray State to Meeks Family Fieldhouse at 6 PM on Tuesday evening.

Last Game: Evansville 66, Marshall 62 (OT)

• Evansville was led by junior Jada Poland, who scored a game-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds.
• Following Poland were freshman Abby Feit with 17 points and nine boards and sophomore A'Niah Griffin with 16 points.
• For the Herd, Khadaijia Brooks finished with a team-best 15 points.
• The Aces struggled coming out of the gate in the contest, finding themselves down 14-3 with 4:19 left in the first quarter.
• Evansville would battle back to close the period, as 10 first quarter points from Feit helped the Aces close to within five at 18-13.
• In the second quarter, the run continued for Evansville. After Marshall led 25-17 with 6:06 left in the half, the Aces scored 12 unanswered points to close the quarter and take a 29-25 advantage to the half.
• Halftime only fueled the Aces as coming out of the break, Evansville pushed its lead even larger.
• Poland scored eight-straight Evansville points during a 1:50 stretch of the third quarter as the Aces lead ballooned to 11 at 46-35.
• The Herd had a run left in them to close the quarter as Marshall answered what Evansville did in the second quarter and scored 12-straight points to take a 47-46 lead with 10 minutes remaining.
• In the fourth, Evansville quickly retook the lead, gaining a one-point advantage just over a minute in on a layup by Poland.
• The lead moved back into the hands of the Herd 38 seconds later, but Evansville again answered to retake the lead.
• After the Aces took the lead, Evansville built its advantage as high as seven with 2:27 left.
• As was true in the third quarter, Marshall concluded the fourth period wih a 7-0 run, tying the game on a layup in the final seconds to send the game to overtime.
• Evansville took the overtime lead on a pair of free throws by sophomore Makayla Wallace with 4:25 on the clock.
• Marshall tied the game two minutes later on a jumper by Brooks that tied the contest at 62.
• With under a minute to play, Feit hit a layup that pushed the Aces ahead by two, a lead Evansville would never relinquish, making defensive stops down the stretch to gain the 66-62 win.
• After committing 64 combined turnovers in its last two contests, Evansville turned the ball over just 15 times, while forcing 18 Marshall turnovers. The Aces also out-rebounded the Herd by three, 48-45.

Previewing the Matchup

• Evansville and Murray State are meeting for the 38th time in the series with the Racers owning a 22-15 advantage.
• The Aces and Racers last met on Nov. 7, 2018 when Murray State captured an 81-53 win over Evansville in Murray, Ky.
• Then freshman Makayla Wallace led Evansville in last season's meeting, scoring a career-high 16 points in her collegiate debut.
• Sunday's meeting is the first between the two sides in Meeks Family Fieldhouse since the opening game of the fieldhouse on Nov. 12, 2017 when the Aces earned a thrilling 89-81 win.
• Freshman Abby Feit looks to continue her streak of double-figure scoring performances, currently sitting at six-straight 10+ point outings, having scored double-digits in every collegiate game of her career.
• The Aces win over Marshall marked UE's first win inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse since a 77-65 win over Valparaiso on Feb. 15, 2018.
• Junior Jada Poland has impressed in her last two appearances, scoring a combined 42 points against Austin Peay and Marshall.
• Murray State enters Tuesday's matchup with a 4-2 overall record, losing twice to top 10 oppoenents in No. 9 Louisville (76-40) and No. 8 Mississippi State (124-43).
• Sophomore Macey Turley leads the Racers in scoring, averaging 18.5 points per game, getting to the line 33 times already this season.
