JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - On the final day of the Benbow Invitational, the University of Evansville women's golf team moved up the leaderboard on Tuesday afternoon at Blue Sky Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
Entering the final round, the Aces sat in a tie for seventh after a 323 in the opening round. Evansville improved its positioning in the second round, recording a 310 as a team for a two-round total of 633, placing the Aces in a tie for fifth.
Senior Sydney Anderson led Evansville in the invitational, marking a five-stroke improvement on the second day with a 73 for a tournament-total of 151 (78-73). Anderson finished the tournament in a tie for third at plus-seven with two other golfers.
Showing consistency across the two-round tournament, sophomore Sophia Rohleder mirrored her first round with a 77 on the final day, placing Rohleder in ninth with a 154 (77-77). Also inside the top 25 for the Aces was senior Madison Chaney who tallied a two-round total of 160 (80-80) and finished in a tie for 23rd.

A pair of Aces concluded the tournament in a tie for 36th as junior Lexie Sollman and freshman Alexa McMinn each carded a 169 in the two-round tournament.
Concluding the tournament in a tie for 41st was freshman Caitlin O'Donnell who finished the invitational with a 171 (82-89) while competing as an individual for Evansville.
The Aces return to the links on March 18 and 19 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tenn.
