EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Fresh off their series win over Valparaiso this past weekend, the University of Evansville baseball team is back in action Wednesday night, taking on Belmont in a non-conference matchup at Charles H. Braun Stadium.

The Aces come into this midweek game with an overall record of 21-19, securing their first twenty win season since 2016. Evansville's eighth conference victory is also the most for the program in three years. UE is led at the plate by senior slugger Nate Reeder, who leads the way in batting average (.354), OPS (.957), hits (51), RBI's (33) and slugging percentage (.507). Reeder is also tied for second in home runs (4) and doubles (10).

The Bruins come into Braun Stadium sporting a 22-21 overall record, with a 16-8 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play, tying them with Austin Peay and Jacksonville State for first place in the OVC.

Evansville will send out senior left-hander Alex Weigand (2-5, 5.73 ERA), while Belmont will counter with sophomore right-hander Logan Bowen (3-3, 7.90 ERA).  

First pitch from Charles H. Braun Stadium is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday night.
