ST. LOUIS - The University of Evansville women's basketball team has released its 2020-21 Missouri Valley Conference schedule, following an announcement from the MVC this afternoon.
Consistent with health and safety principles, the Conference has adopted a new scheduling format for men's and women's basketball Conference games.  The new format significantly reduces travel and places an emphasis on the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches and staff. The Conference will continue to play an 18-game format in which most MVC teams will face one another in a two-game series on back-to-back days at the same site. Each institution will play four road series and four home series and will also face their designated 'travel partner' in a single-game, home-and-home series.  All Conference play begins after Christmas.
The Aces open the conference season January 1 and 2 on the road against Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill. to start the revised slate. The first home series for Evansville comes on Thursday and Friday, January 7 and 8 when the Aces play host to Drake.
Marking its second-straight home weekend, Evansville welcomes in Bradley for a pair of games on January 15 and 16. After its homestand, Evansville goes on the road for four of its next five contests, beginning with January 22 and 23 games at Illinois State. Wedged in the middle of the road series is a matchup with Indiana State inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse on January 27. Following the travel partner game, Evansville goes back on the road to take on UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa on February 5 and 6.
Evansville brings in Loyola on February 12 and 13 for a home weekend as the Aces look to reverse a 10-point loss to the Ramblers at home a year ago.
Three-straight road games greet the Aces down the final stretch of the season. Evansville travels to Valparaiso on February 19 and 20 as UE tries to replicate its first half from last season when the Aces held a 34-32 lead at the break against Valpo before falling 72-54.
The final road game of the season comes on February 24 with a trip to Terre Haute to face Indiana State, where the Aces last captured a road victory on March 1, 2019.
After a weekend bye in the final weekend of February, Evansville hosts 2019-20 MVC Regular Season Champion Missouri State on March 5 and 6.
All home games for Evansville women's basketball will be broadcast on The Valley on ESPN. Fans are encouraged to download the Evansville Athletics app for live stats and game programs for all games this season. Fans can download the app on
