EVANSVILLE - University of Evansville head women's basketball coach Matt Ruffing has announced the signing of three incoming student-athletes for the 2020-21 season.

Of the three signees, two enter the fold as freshmen, while another brings in college playing experience after one junior college season.

Erin Dumas comes to Evansville after playing high school basketball for the prestigious Montverde Academy. A 5'5" guard, Dumas helped lead the Eagles to a No. 2 ranking in the state of Florida. Dumas is originally from Chicago and averaged 7.5 points, three steals, and 1.6 assists per contest in 2019-20.

Rylie Stephens joins the Aces after playing prep basketball for Triton Central High School. In her senior season, Stephens averaged 16.4 points and nearly eight rebounds per game, while adding four steals and three assists per contest. Stephens helped lead the Tigers to a 26-1 record. As a junior, Stephens averaged nearly 15 points and six rebounds.

Coming to Evansville with a season of collegiate playing experience, Sydney Thurwalker will wear the white and purple after one season at Dodge City Community College. Thurwalker reeled-in the individual honors during her freshman season with the Conquistadors. Thurwalker was named NJCAA All-Region VI honorable mention, while capturing KJCCC second-team honors. At Dodge City, Thurwalker averaged 13.6 points and nine rebounds per game, while shooting just shy of 50% from the field.
 

The trio of newcomers are combined with an experienced group of Aces. Evansville is slated to return 91.7% of its scoring and 90% of its minutes played in 2019-20.
