2020-21 MVC Schedule
EVANSVILLE - The University of Evansville women's basketball team has announced its 2020-21 Missouri Valley Conference schedule featuring 18 games, beginning on New Year's Day.
Evansville returns 91.3% of its scoring and 90.0% of its minutes played for the 2020-21 season, including the MVC Freshman of the Year in sophomore Abby Feit. Also back for the Aces are senior Lola Bracy (10.9 points per game), redshirt senior Jada Poland (8.4 ppg), junior A'Niah Griffin (7.6 ppg), and junior Anna Newman (5.8 ppg).
The Aces conference slate opens at home with a home weekend featuring defending regular season champion Missouri State on January 1 and Southern Illinois on January 3 inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
The first road trip in the MVC for Evansville this season takes the Aces up US 41 to battle Indiana State on January 8. Following the contest at the Sycamores, Evansville hits the road to challenge Illinois State (January 15) and Bradley (January 17).
On January 22, Evansville welcomes in Valparaiso to Meeks Family Fieldhouse as sophomore Abby Feit looks to follow-up a 14-point, 13-rebound double-dobule that Feit recorded at home against the Crusaders last season. Two days later, Loyola comes to town to face the Aces after Evansville pushed the Ramblers a season ago at home. In the 2019-20 installment of the matchup inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse, Evansville cut its deficit as low as four with just over three minutes remaining.
A three-game home swing highlights the midpoint of the conference schedule beginning on February 5 with Indiana State, followed by a February 12 matchup with Bradley and closing with Illinois State on Valentine's Day.
The conference slate comes to a close on the road for Evansville with a trip to Southern Illinois on March 4 and Missouri State on March 6.
2021 Hoops in the Heartland in Moline, Ill. begins on March 11 with the tournament's opening round and concludes with the championship game on March 14.
