Box Score OXFORD, Ohio - Falling behind early, the University of Evansville women's basketball team made multiple runs at the RedHawks, but ultimately fell, 81-73 on Saturday afternoon in Oxford, Ohio.

For the second-straight game, senior Myia Clark led the way for Evansville, pouring-in a career-high 26 points, including seven made free throws. Junior Abby Feit notched her fifth double-double of the season, recording 14 points and adding 11 boards, while contributing a team-high five steals to the effort. The final Ace to finish in double-figures was junior Je'Naiya Davis, who tallied 17 points in her first start for Evansville. On Miami's side, Peytion Scott led the RedHawks, recording a double-double of 25 points and 10 boards.

Defense ruled the early portion of the first quarter as the Aces held the RedHawks scoreless for the first 3:39 of the contest, while holding a 3-0 lead. Once Miami found its rhythm, the home side ran out on a 14-2 run, grabbing a nine-point lead with three minutes left in the opening period. Scott powered much of the offense for the RedHawks, scoring 10 of Miami's first quarter points, as the RedHawks owned a 23-12 after 10 minutes.

After shooting just 26.3% (5-19) from the field in the opening stanza, Evansville bounced back in the second quarter. After a Miami bucket opened the quarter, the Aces responded with a 13-3 run to close within just four with 4:15 left in the first half. As was true in the first quarter, the RedHawks locked-down defensively to close the half, holding Evansville to just two points over the final 3:57 to grab a 39-29 lead at the break.

The third quarter was the Myia Clark show as the senior lit up the scoreboard, scoring 12 of Evansville's first 14 points in the quarter to trim Miami's lead as low as five. Slowly, the RedHawks built their advantage back to double-digits and as high as 14.

Despite cutting the deficit as low as seven in the fourth period, Evansville struggled to draw any closer in the final stanza as the RedHawks held off the Aces for the eight-point win.

Evansville is back on the road on Tuesday evening with a trip to Louisville, Ky. to take on Bellermine at 5:30 PM (CT) inside Freedom Hall.
