EVANSVILLE – Adding to the 2021-22 team, University of Evansville head coach Robyn Scherr-Wells has announced the signing of Kodie Myszka to the Aces.

Myszka becomes Scherr-Wells' second addition and the second freshman on the roster for the 2021-22 campaign.

"I've had the opportunity to recruit Kodie and get to know her the last 6 months with many early morning phone calls to Australia and I was so excited that she had not chosen a school yet when I was hired at UE," said Scherr-Wells on Myszka. "She is the type of player and person I am thrilled to build a program with. She continues to work relentlessly on growing her game and her best playing days are ahead of her. A lefty forward, Kodie is a versatile player who is skilled enough to play the 4 and tough enough to play the 5 in our style of play. She will be a great asset to our team!"

Myszka comes to the River City from Melbourne, Australia after impressing with Dandenong Rangers in the Youth Championship Women's League. With the Rangers, Myszka averaged 10.3 points and seven rebounds per contest, adding just over three assists per game.

Myszka was recently promoted to the Dandenong Rangers Seniors, an NBL1 squad, playing in four games, while seeing a best of 27 minutes against Diamond Valley Eagles on April 17, scoring seven points and pulling down four rebounds in the Rangers 79-65 victory. In NBL1 competition, Myszka has played along with and competed against players with extensive experience, including former NCAA Division I players and an Olympian.

I am super pumped to come to UE and make it my home away from home," said Myszka on joining the Aces. "I am excited for the educational opportunities that the University is providing for me along with the chance for Coach Robyn Scherr-Wells and her coaching staff to develop me into the best basketballer I can be!"

Recently, Myszka has been selected to represent her state of Victoria at the U20 Australian Junior Championships.
