Aces add talented transfer Myia Clark to roster

EVANSVILLE - Continuing to bolster its roster, the University of Evansville women's basketball team has announced the addition of transfer Myia Clark.

"I am thrilled Myia has chosen to continue her college journey with us at UE," said Evansville head women's basketball coach Robyn Scherr-Wells. "I recruited Myia when she was in high school and playing for IL Elite, and had to coach against her for 2 years when I was an assistant at Davidson, so I have been following Myia's career over the years. She fits our style of play perfectly. She is a skilled, athletic guard that will be dangerous in transition. She can score at the rim and shoot the three. She has great ability to create for her teammates as well. On the other side of the ball, she will be a tough defender in our press. She loves basketball and works hard at her game. I can't wait to see how she will continue to grow as a player here! Beyond basketball, she is a high character individual and someone I have really enjoyed getting to know over the recruiting process."

A transfer from Saint Louis University, Clark joins the Aces after three seasons with the Billikens. In those three years, Clark appeared in all 73 contests, making starts in the final 51 games of her SLU career.

"I'm super excited about my new journey here at UE," said Clark. "I chose UE because of the coaching staff's determination to help their players grow on and off the court. I also admire their determination of establishing a family environment within the program. I can't wait to work with the team and staff, and become a better version of myself. "

Averaging 7.5 points during her first three seasons of collegiate play, Clark finished inside the top five in scoring for the Billikens in back-to-back seasons as a sophomore and junior. The Schaumburg, Ill. native also showcased her ability to facilitate her teammates with over 100 assists in her three years of play.

Clark becomes the sixth signing of the summer for Scherr-Wells, joining three international newcomers (Gala Camarena, Elly Morgan, Kodie Myszka) and two transfers (Je'Naiya Davis and Celine DuPont).
