Previewing the Matchup: Indiana State
  • Evansville and Indiana State are meeting for the 61st time in series history with the Sycamores owning a 41-19 advantage in the all-time series.
  • The two sides split last season's series with each team capturing its home contest.
  • The Sycamores come into Tuesday evening's contest on a hot streak, winning four of their last five games and starting conference play with a 2-1 mark with wins over Drake and Bradley.
  • After a quick two-game homestand, the Aces return to the road for a three-game road swing that concludes a stretch of eight games that featured six on the road.
  • Tuesday's contest pits two of the best teams in the conference in steals against one another. Indiana State leads the MVC in steals, generating 12.36 per game, while the Aces are third in the category, grabbing an even nine steals per contest.
On the Brink of History
  • Junior Abby Feit sits just 23 points away from becoming the 21st player in Evansville's 1,000 point club and would be believed to be the fourth fastest to the mark behind Sara Dickey, Shelly Brand-Adlard and Shyla McKibbon-Puelston.

An Emerging Threat

  • It has not taken long for freshman Gala Camarena to adapt to Coach Scherr-Wells system or collegiate basketball, especially from a scoring perspective.
  • Averaging 11 minutes per game off the bench, Camarena has shown to be an accurate threat from beyond the arc, adding to Evansville's bevy of shooters.
  • Camarena sits inside the top 100 in the nation in 89th in three-point percentage, hitting 46.2% of her attempts from three this season.
