IOWA CITY, Iowa - After a season-opening 89-81 win over Eastern Kentucky on Monday, the University of Evansville women's basketball team makes a trip north to take on No. 4 Iowa at 6:30 PM on Thursday night in Iowa City, Iowa.

Evansville and Iowa will meet for just the third time in series history, but in the second consecutive season with the Hawkeyes having won both previous meetings. The Aces and Hawkeyes met last season on Jan. 2, 2022 with Iowa capturing a 93-56 win. Like the Aces, Iowa opened the season with a win on Monday, defeating Southern, 87-34, at home. Thursday night's opponent No. 4 Iowa is believed to be the highest-ranked opponent the Aces have faced in program history and the first top 10 opponent UE has squared-off with since facing No. 8 Louisvile on Dec. 18, 2016.

Evansville's 89-81 win over EKU on Monday evening was UE's first win in a season-opener on the road since Nov. 9, 2012 in a 54-45 victory at Ball State. Fifth-year guard Myia Clark was on fire on Monday at EKU. The St. Louis native finished with 25 points, tying the program record for most three-pointers in a single game with eight, going 8-for-9 from beyond the arc in the win. Newcomer Barbora Tomancova stuffed the stat sheet against EKU in her first game in the white and purple. A transfer from FIU, Tomancova finished with a 16-point, 15-rebound double-double to help power the Aces.
