EVANSVILLE - Back home for five of its last seven games, the University of Evansville women's basketball team welcomes Indiana State for a rivalry matchup inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse on Saturday night at 5 PM in Evansville.

Previewing the Matchup: Indiana State

• Evansville and Indiana State are meeting for the 62nd time in series history with the Sycamores owning a 42-19 advantage in the all-time series.
• Earlier this season, Indiana State grabbed the first meeting between the two sides, 69-51, inside the Hulman Center on Jan. 18.
• Indiana State is in the midst of a difficult stretch of contests, featuring eight games in 18 days with Saturday's contest the fifth in 10 days for the Sycamores.
• Evansville's schedules has not exactly been the easiest either, playing three games on a six-day road trip last weekend against Illinois State, Bradley, and UNI.

Speaking Charitably

• The Aces are one of the best teams in the nation in getting to the free-throw line and have recently become a better team at converting those opportunities.
• In three of its last four games, Evansville has shot 80% or better from the charity stripe, a feat it accomplished just three times in the previous 18 games this season.

 

A'Niah's Big Weekend

• Fans in central Illinois were treated to a classic performance from A'Niah Griffin last weekend.
• The senior combined for 25 points in the two weekend games at Illinois State and Bradley, averaging just 14 minutes per contest off the bench, and shooting 8-14 from the field.

• Coaches and staff will be wearing all black as a sign of unity for Equity and Inclusion Night with all players wearing black shooting shirts with "Be The Change" on the front. All fans encouraged to join our efforts to show unity by wearing all black, as well.
• Evansville welcomes back UE Women's Basketball alums to cheer on the Aces.
• Hot dogs are just $1 at the concession stand.
