EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Colton Tang, a native of Newburgh, Ind., has been named the graduate assistant for the University of Evansville Swimming and Diving program.
 
"We are so excited to welcome Colton to UE. From the first time we chatted, his passion for leadership and for the sport was apparent," Purple Aces Head Swimming & Diving Coach Canaan Campbell said. "His connection to the local swimming community and experience as a collegiate team captain will be a tremendous asset to our program. Can't wait to get to work!"
 
Tang brings a wealth of experience to the UE program along with a familiarity with the Tri-State area. After competing for the swim team at Castle High School, Tang continued his career at the University of Southern Indiana. He competed primarily as a sprinter for the Screaming Eagles while serving as a team captain.
 
He graduated from USI in 2026 with a bachelor's degree in health services administration and a minor in Sports Management.
 
In addition to his role as a graduate assistant, he currently teaches swim lessons locally at Gold Medal Swim Academy while pursuing his master's degree at UE.
