EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville men's soccer team travels to St. Charles, Mo. on Friday, taking on Lindenwood in its second match of the week. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.

Evansville dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 21 Louisville Tuesday night at Arad McCutchan Stadium. The Aces created several early opportunities, including shots from
Ben Zec and
Rodrigo Zambrana, but Louisville's defense kept Evansville off the scoreboard.
Hugo Amo made back-to-back saves during a dangerous Louisville sequence in the 31st minute before the Evansville defense blocked a third attempt to keep the match scoreless. The Aces continued to create chances in the second half, with
Alejandro Fernandez recording two shots, including an opportunity in the 76th minute that was saved by the Louisville goalkeeper.
Louisville broke through in the 81st minute when Giacomo Zizza converted a free kick from just outside the box. Evansville pushed for an equalizer late and earned a set-piece opportunity in the final seconds, but the Aces were unable to find the back of the net as the Cardinals held on for the victory.
Series History
Friday marks the fifth all-time meeting between Evansville and Lindenwood. The Lions hold a 2-1-1 advantage in the series and lead 1-0-0 in meetings played in St. Charles. The teams met last year in Evansville, with Lindenwood taking the 1-0 victory.
