EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's soccer team begins its home schedule on Thursday, hosting SEMO at Arad McCutchan Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
Strong Road Result
- The Aces opened their season last Thursday with a strong road result, picking up a 1-1 draw at Purdue.
- Brooklyn Robinson scored the first goal of the season for the Purple Aces, netting the equalizer in the 47th minute.
- Goalkeeper Bri Chirpich was stellar in her Evansville debut, making nine saves, the most by an Aces keeper since 2024 and the most by an Ace in their debut since at least 2005.
Weekly Honors
- Brielle LaBerge was named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Aces in last Thursday's season opener.
- LaBerge was an essential member of an Evansville defense that limited Purdue's potent offense to one goal in a 1-1 draw.
- LaBerge played all 90 minutes in the contest.
- The result was Evansville's second against Purdue in the last two seasons and their first-ever in West Lafayette. It was Evansville's third result against a Power Conference opponent since 2009.
