Aces Welcome Austin Peay for Senior Night

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville women's soccer team will honor a seven-member senior class at Arad McCutchan Stadium on Thursday, celebrating Senior Night against Austin Peay. The Purple Aces being recognized include Bri Chirpich (Gladstone, Mo./Hawaii), Elke Travis (Henderson, Nev./Faith Lutheran HS), Taylor Johnson (Evansville, Ind./Reitz HS), A'Liyah Warrick (Mableton, Ga./Campbell HS), Brooklyn Robinson (West Haven, Utah/Fremont HS), Ashlyn Koutsos (Cumming, Ga./West Forsyth HS), and Ella Hamner (Evansville, Ind./Memorial HS). Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.

Last Time Out
Evansville suffered their first loss of the season Thursday night, falling 3-1 to Lindenwood at Arad McCutchan Stadium.

Lindenwood struck first in the 11th minute, taking an early 1-0 lead. Evansville's defense settled in following the goal, limiting the Lions to just three shots for the remainder of the first half and taking the 1-0 deficit into the break.

The Aces responded early in the second half, finding the equalizer in the 60th minute. Following a corner kick, Lily Kytasaari (Platte City, Mo./Platte County HS) found the back of the net from in front of the goal to record her first goal of the season. Brooklyn Robinson was credited with the assist, giving her a team-leading three points on the season.

Lindenwood quickly regained the lead, scoring in the 63rd and 64th minutes to take a 3-1 advantage.

Lindenwood out-shot Evansville 11-7 overall. Ella Hamner led the Aces with two shots, while Emmy Brenner (Arlington, Tenn./St. Benedict at Auburndale HS) and Reagan Vaughan (Franklin, Tenn./Fred J Page HS) each recorded a shot on goal.

Series History
Thursday marks the 12th all-time meeting between Evansville and Austin Peay. The Purple Aces hold the series lead at 6-3-2. Evansville won the last meeting, a 1-0 victory in 2025.

Austin Peay brings a 0-4-1 record into Thursday's game. The last time out for the Governors came on Sunday, a 1-1 draw against Indiana State.
