EVANSVILLE, Ind – The Purple Aces will host the Drake Bulldogs at 1 PM on September 26 at Arad McCutchin Stadium. This game marks both teams' second MVC matchup of the 2026 season.
 
Last Time Out
The Aces fell to 2-3-1 after a Saturday night loss to Southern Illinois. The first MVC match up for the Aces ends in a loss to put their conference record to 0-1-0.
 
The Salukis struck first with goals in the 24th and 26th minute. Throughout the first half Evansville was able to rack up four shots with two from Brielle LaBerge and one each from Josie Seehafer and Reagan Vaughan.
 
Evansville came out of the half down 0-2 and immediately cut the lead to one with a goal in the 48th minute. Josie Seehafer sent a crosser straight to Brooklyn Robinson who knocked a header into the top right of the goal. The play marked Robinson's third goal of the season and her first time scoring goals in back-to-back games since October 11th, 2025.  Ultimately, Evansville fell to Southern Illinois 1-2 in their first conference game.
 
Series History
Drake leads the Aces 16-10-4 in the overall series record. This conference rivalry goes back to their first match in 2002 and has now totaled 30 games which is the most either Evansville or Drake has played against any single opponent. At home Evansville will seek to capture the series' 31st win.
 
Scouting
Drake boosts a 6-3-1 record coming off their conference win against Valparaiso. The Bulldogs have been successful at home posting a 5-0-0 record, but only a 1-3-1 record on the road. Senior Zoey Mahoney was named MVC Defensive Player of The Week, which is her second of the season, and Drake's fourth time receiving a weekly honor this season.
